In 1984, MIRSA TILE begins in the border town of Agua Prieta Sonora, being one of the first specialized TILE & BATH stores in the entire northwest Mexico region. MIRSA begins as a DISTRIBUTOR for factories such as Interceramic, Dal-Tile, Orion & Niasa. In the early 90´s MIRSA becomes an INTERCERAMIC store franchise covering the northern Sonora Region and exporting into the southern Arizona market.

In the early 2000´s, the competitive market shifted given that new factories entered the Mexico market. Because of this and having the competitive disadvantage of having a single supplier, MIRSA decides to leave the INTERCERAMIC franchise model, and becomes an independent DISTRIBUTOR representing various National and International factories/brands. At this same time, MIRSA develops a new OUTLET store concept “Baños Plus”, whose focus would be to sell factory remnants & inexpensive tile and bath materials to compete against these new price-focused competitors.

By being a multi-brand distributor, MIRSA can offer only THE BEST selection from Mexican factories, as well as the most innovative designs from factories from around the world. Today, MIRSA is known for it’s UNIQUE-FASHION FORWARD product selection and Factory Direct Pricing that we hope will instill a long-term preference with our valued regional customer base.
